I got most of the information from libraries including the UCLA research library while in college, the Los Angeles Central Public Library which had an outstanding genealogical room before the fire happened, the Ventura County public libraries, especially the Ventura Central Library which has a fine genealogical section, and the Theology Library at St. John's Archdiocesan Seminary in Camarillo, California. More recently I obtained information from the Internet including an ancestral map from Kane Strategic Marketing in Harbor Springs, Michigan, and from a copy of a book by Ida Grehan no longer in print ordered through Amazon.
